Over the last 25 plus years we have remodeled a bathroom and added a sun room, remodeled a kitchen, built a swimming pool, built an outdoor kitchen and had several paint jobs on our home. Therefore, we have had extensive experience with contractors. While the jobs we had done turned out very good the personal experiences with the contractors have not been very pleasant. Fred Henry Construction just completed basically a whole house remodel including scraping ceilings,
repainting every single room in the house, new floors throughout the house, new counter tops, new interior doors and remodeling an old fireplace. In addition to very high quality results, they have been a complete joy to work with from Fred all the way down to the cleanup crew at the end. All the people were very pleasant, courteous and just generally fun to work with. From the initial bid to the completion, they have done everything promised, even completing the job a week quicker than
originally estimated.
If I ever have another job that they will accept I will not use anyone other than Fred Henry Construction and strongly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel a home.

This is the second remodeling project FHC has done for us, the first being a kitchen/dining room renovation three years ago. This time was a complete master bath redo as well as exterior trim painting. Like the first job, we were very pleased with the workmanship of Fred Henry’s employees as well as the subs he uses. Truthfully, it is no fun having to live in another part of the house for several weeks, but the organization, character, and honesty associated with Fred’s employees and subs is beyond reproach and made the experience much more bearable. We were especially pleased with their daily efforts to leave the work area spic and span. The guys and gals became more like family as the work progressed. A special thanks goes out to painter and color coordinator extraordinaire, Kristi, who made my wife’s life easier by suggesting both the interior and exterior colors. Fred, Kathi, and Stephen constantly checked on the job until its completion, always keeping us informed of who was doing what next. It was most reassuring to know they had everything so organized and stuck to the schedule. The only delay we had was waiting an extra two weeks for delivery and installation of our frameless shower glass, but that was not FHCs fault.
I would highly recommend FHC for your remodeling needs. Although not the cheapest in town, their experience and expertise is worth every penny. I am a retired building material salesman, so I know quality when I see it – I guarantee you will be satisfied with any project they do for you.

When we bought our home, we thought it was beautiful and I guess it was for the time, but I do not remember feeling the love I feel for my home now that my wonderful "family" at Fred Henry has made me feel. These
were the most caring people I have ever met. They came into my home and carefully listened and did things they knew would make me feel good once the project was finished. They were very careful to listen to what I wanted and I never had the feeling it was just "a job" for them. They gave me the guidance that would best benefit me. I was asked what I wanted and they went about doing it. If something came up that I was not comfortable doing then they were kind enough to guide me in the right direction. If I ever mentioned something I was not completely happy with or concerned about then before I could turn around they had someone here to take care of it. I never saw them make a phone call to anyone, but the right person appeared to take care of the problem.
Each day they left my home with things cleaned up and I was able to spend the time looking at all of the days accomplishments. All of the people they had working on my home were the kindest and warmest workers one could wish for. This was my first experience with having someone come in and take over and know the job was going to be completed and completed far above my expectations. I had never had someone come in and do a “complete” make over. It surely beat having things done little by little. I think everyone needs to have the experience of having a job done and done well. My husband and I have had the pleasure of dealing with Fred Henry Construction Company during the remodeling of a kitchen and a master bathroom. At the time we were searching for someone to remodel our kitchen, I had obtained estimates from two other companies. There was a tremendous difference in price. Kathi Henry and Stephen Henry listened carefully to what we wanted in our new kitchen and were quick to provide ideas that we had not considered. Fred Henry is a long time family company doing business in Lubbock for many years. After comparing their estimates with two others, we chose this company. Fred Henry has not always submitted the lowest bid, but their estimate has always been fair and they give allowances on materials chosen for the job. They do a great job of communicating with their customers. We always knew what time and what day they would be at our house. They kept us informed of what they were doing and of any possible problems they might encounter. Their employees are very professionally dressed and we never had a problem leaving our house and trusting them. They are very friendly and good about explaining what they were doing. They tolerated our Golden Retriever when he tried to supervise their work. As a matter of fact, when they were doing work at a house across the street, the workers came over to pet him. They always left at the end of the day leaving our house clean and their equipment put away. They are very conscientious about the work they are doing and they use subcontractors that have the same standards that they expect of their own employees. We cannot say enough positive things about this company. We were always thrilled by the finished project, but sad to see them go because they had become like family to us. We have more projects that we will use them for and I will not bother to get estimates from other companies.

I recently had a project done by Fred Henry Construction. They replaced a window and door I had on my patio to a sliding glass door. They closed up the wall where the door was. I’ve had numerous contracting jobs over the years and I can’t say enough about the quality and professionalism of Fred Henry Construction. Kathi Henry was awesome! She continually kept me posted on who was coming when and every contractor showed up when they were supposed to! Amazing! Steven Henry would meet every contractor out here and made sure they understood what to do. They thought of every detail and saw it thru to the end. I can’t express enough what a great experience this was. I would highly recommend them for any project you have. They have the best contractors!

Fred Henry Construction built a porch cover and put a fireplace in our house. Both projects turned out beautifully. The house was always clean and whatever debris there might have been was picked up by the time we got home from work. They were always responsive to our questions during the process. Only issue we had was there might have been a little more thought put into the TV connections installed above the fireplace. It would have been nice if they had been recessed in the wall but we didn’t think about that until the TV was installed above the fireplace and we have problems with plugs/cords sticking out from the wall. But we will know to ask for that if we ever have something like this done again. Overall a pleasant experience and I would definitely use them again.

I have used this company for two homes, in the last one, I had a water leak and they came in and put our home back together perfectly! They repaired walls, custom built cabinets, remodeled kitchen, new carpet, painted, and tile work. I couldn’t have been more pleased, they cleaned up perfect, and was so professional through the entire process.
We recently bought a new home and called them and they repaired all things on the inspection, and fixed all our kitchen cabinets to accommodate the new appliances I wanted. They are so wonderful, and I highly recommend them for anything you need done to your home!

First off, I am writing this review for my parents who are 80 plus years old. I found Fred Henry Construction through Angie’s List after my parents had had two different plumbers out to find the source of a major water leak in their master bath. Neither were able to locate the leak and still charged my folks hundreds of dollars. When I called the office, my phone call was returned promptly. I explained that I was in town from Chicago for only a few days and needed help for my parents. I had Mr. Henry out within 24 hours. He was so thorough in his explanation of the problem, patient with my parents and presented a plan and an estimate very quickly. The workers arrived as promised. Each specialty area was arranged by Fred Henry Construction and even the tile and bathtub surround material samples were brought personally to the house to spare my mom having to travel to make choices. Each group of workmen arrived on time, finished the work as promised and cleaned up to my mom’s satisfaction. I’m not going to lie. The work was not cheap, however, the concierge service for an elderly couple was exactly what was needed and we were willing to pay for excellent service and coordination of the project. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
