I was hesitant about having anyone in my home remodeling my kitchen. Previous remodeling projects have been disastrous because people did not follow up on what they said they were going to do causing numerous delays. Two of my friends recommended Fred Henry Construction. I am so glad I listen to their advice. From the beginning to the end, Kathi and Stephen Henry were true to their word. Their team arrived on time, they listened to my needs and what I wanted. Kathi, Stephen, and their crew/team were professional, paid attention to details, and cleaned up after themselves. Although at times, things happen that can cause delays, Fred Henry Construction finished earlier than expected. Above all, effective and timely communication occurred throughout the project. Gene and I are pleased with our new (remodeled) kitchen and dining room. I have been telling our family and friends about our positive experiences. My husband and I have had the pleasure of dealing with Fred Henry Construction Company during the remodeling of a kitchen and a master bathroom. At the time we were searching for someone to remodel our kitchen, I had obtained estimates from two other companies. There was a tremendous difference in price. Kathi Henry and Stephen Henry listened carefully to what we wanted in our new kitchen and were quick to provide ideas that we had not considered. Fred Henry is a long time family company doing business in Lubbock for many years. After comparing their estimates with two others, we chose this company. Fred Henry has not always submitted the lowest bid, but their estimate has always been fair and they give allowances on materials chosen for the job. They do a great job of communicating with their customers. We always knew what time and what day they would be at our house. They kept us informed of what they were doing and of any possible problems they might encounter. Their employees are very professionally dressed and we never had a problem leaving our house and trusting them. They are very friendly and good about explaining what they were doing. They tolerated our Golden Retriever when he tried to supervise their work. As a matter of fact, when they were doing work at a house across the street, the workers came over to pet him. They always left at the end of the day leaving our house clean and their equipment put away. They are very conscientious about the work they are doing and they use subcontractors that have the same standards that they expect of their own employees. We cannot say enough positive things about this company. We were always thrilled by the finished project, but sad to see them go because they had become like family to us. We have more projects that we will use them for and I will not bother to get estimates from other companies.

I recently had a project done by Fred Henry Construction. They replaced a window and door I had on my patio to a sliding glass door. They closed up the wall where the door was. I’ve had numerous contracting jobs over the years and I can’t say enough about the quality and professionalism of Fred Henry Construction. Kathi Henry was awesome! She continually kept me posted on who was coming when and every contractor showed up when they were supposed to! Amazing! Steven Henry would meet every contractor out here and made sure they understood what to do. They thought of every detail and saw it thru to the end. I can’t express enough what a great experience this was. I would highly recommend them for any project you have. They have the best contractors!

This was the hardest letter I have ever written. It still sounds a bit "cheesy" to me and I don't want that. I can still tear up with the gratitude I feel for your people. You really brightened up a dark time in my heart. I know that if I fussed about anything today you or your people would be out here to make it "right". If I was lucky enough to win the lottery then you would be receiving a call tomorrow to get out here.
When we bought our home, we thought it was beautiful and I guess it was for the time, but I do not remember feeling the love I feel for my home now that my wonderful "family" at Fred Henry has made me feel. These were the most caring people I have ever met. They came into my home and carefully listened and did things they knew would make me feel good once the project was finished. They were very careful to listen to what I wanted and I never had the feeling it was just "a job" for them. They gave me the guidance that would best benefit me. I was asked what I wanted and they went about doing it. If something came up that I was not comfortable doing then they were kind enough to guide me in the right direction. If I ever mentioned something I was not completely happy with or concerned about then before I could turn around they had someone here to take care of it. I never saw them make a phone call to anyone, but the right person appeared to take care of the problem.
Each day they left my home with things cleaned up and I was able to spend the time looking at all of the days accomplishments. All of the people they had working on my home were the kindest and warmest workers one could wish for. This was my first experience with having someone come in and take over and k now the job was going to be completed and completed far above my expectations. I had never had someone come in and do a "complete"make over. It surely beat having things done little by little. I think everyone needs to have the experience ofhaving a job done and done well. I can't say enough good.

We just completed the second remodeling project Fred Henry Construction has done for us, the first being a kitchen/dining room renovation three years ago. This time was a complete master bath redo as well as exterior trim painting.
Like the first job, we were very pleased with the workmanship of Fred Henry's employees as well as the subs he uses. Truthfully, it is no fun having to live in another part of the house for several weeks, but the organization, character, and honesty associated with Fred's employees and subs is beyond reproach and made the experience much more bearable. We were especially pleased with their daily efforts to leave the work area spic and span. The guys and gals became more like family as the work progressed. A special thanks goes out to painter and color coordinator extraordinaire, Kristi, who made my wife's life easier by suggesting both the exterior and interior colors. Fred, Kathi, and Stephen constantly checked on the job until its completion, always keeping us informed of who was doing what next. It was most reassuring to know they had everything so organized and stuck to the schedule. The only delay we had was waiting an extra two weeks for delivery and installation of our frameless shower glass, but that was not FHC's fault.
I would highly recommend FHC for your remodeling needs. Although not the cheapest in town, their experience and expertise is worth every penny. I am a retired building material salesman, so I know quality when I see it. I guarantee you will be satisfied with any project they do for you.

Over the last 25 plus years we have remodeled a bathroom, added a sunroom, remodeled a kitchen, built a swimming pool, built an outdoor kitchen and had several paint jobs on our home. Therefore, we have had extensive experience with contractors. While the jobs we had done turned out very good, the personal experiences with the contractors has not always been very pleasant.
Fred Henry Construction just completed basically a whole house remodel including scraping ceilings, repainting every single room in the house, new floors throughout the house, new counter tops, new interior doors and remodeling an old fireplace. In addition to very high quality results, they have been a complete joy to work with from Fred to the cleanup crew at the end. Everyone was very pleasant, courteous and just generally fun to work with. From the initial bid to the completion they have done everything promised, even completing the job a week earlier than originally estimated.
If I ever have another job that they will accept, I will not use anyone other than Fred Henry Construction and strongly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel a home.

When my husband and I married, we inherited his grandparents 50 year old farm house as our first home. It was stucco, had a stamp-sized front porch, double pane windows that didn't open, and other problems due to wear and age. When we decided to remodel a bathroom, we talked to several different companies. Fred Henry stood out from the rest—he spent time listening to our ideas for the future, and did a fantastic turn-key job.
So it was natural when we took the big step of a complete outside remodel including brick - new windows, porches, the works - that Fred Henry Construction would be the ones to trust. It was a huge project- not without some weather-induced problems. Fred and his crew handled each one in a timely and satisfactory manner. The third, but not final, job was adding on a master suite, complete with a courtyard and fire pit. Fred Henry Construction will be doing our kitchen remodel in the near future. I can't tell you the number of people who think we tore down our old house and built a new one—that is the quality of the workmanship! We jokingly invite people in to "the house that Fred built", but I can tell you we have never been happier in our "new" home.

In 1985 we did a major addition to our house. The experience was a nightmare and we are still "fixing" all the problems. Then in about 2005 we did one bathroom. Much more pleasant, until the painter came—another nightmare! We had waited so long after the first one because we just didn't know who to call or who to trust.
That bath experience was better, but we did not want to use the same people again. So, a friend found the ad for Fred Henry Construction in the newspaper and I called. The kitchen and two bathrooms needed desperate attention. The kitchen and one bath were original from 1974, flocked wallpaper and all. The other bath was from the first remodel/addition (it had problems from the beginning in 1985).
I now have a beautiful kitchen and two great bathrooms. As remodels go, this was by far the best experience. We would call Fred Henry Construction for any work we need done from now on. A wonderful experience, with wonderful, caring people. I had lost my mother's wedding ring and could not find it but thought it was somewhere in the kitchen. The guys demolishing the kitchen found that ring, could have pocketed it, but they didn't. Those guys were so caring and sweet when they brought me that ring!
After the work was finished, there were minor things that needed attention, which is normal, and they came out and fixed them in record time. We would recommend Fred Henry Construction to anyone, without hesitation. Thank you Stephen and all the crew, I LOVE my remodel!!
