The Home Restyling Process with Fred Henry Construction

It all starts with you.
An idea ... a want ... a desire ...

Fred Henry Construction will use our expertise, knowledge and reputation to work with you to realize your goals and dreams. Whether you are looking for a small update or a complete home restyling, FHC will put our experience and expertise to work for you. We will walk with you through our process.

1. FREE IN-HOME CONSULTATION

This initial stage involves determining your needs, including the scope of the project, timeline and budget.

2. PLANNING, DESIGN & BUDGET

This stage we take the time to fully understand your vision, then translate it into specific plans and then prepare a detailed estimate. During this stage a highly experienced estimator works with you to develop a design concept that fulfills your vision and meets your budget.

3. CONTRACTS

After the design, product selection, and scope of work have been determined, a final contract document, specifically stating these items is produced. At this time, a deposit is collected, all products are ordered, and your project is assigned a projected start date.

4. PERMITS

FHC handles and expedites all necessary applications to obtain building permits ensuring strict compliance with building codes and city ordinances.

5. CONSTRUCTION

FHC begins construction and throughout this phase, you will become well acquainted with our in-house team members and you will often see your project superintendent stop by at frequent intervals to assure all the details are carried out as planned.

6. PROJECT COMPLETION

Your project manager will perform a final jobsite review to see that everything has turned out as planned and that you are completely satisfied with the outcome. With your permission, we will take pictures of your completed project to help inspire other homeowners that are just embarking down the remodeling road.

    My husband and I have had the pleasure of dealing with Fred Henry Construction Company during the remodeling of a kitchen and a master bathroom. At the time we were searching for someone to remodel our kitchen, I had obtained estimates from two other companies. There was a tremendous difference in price. Kathi Henry and Stephen Henry listened carefully to what we wanted in our new kitchen and were quick to provide ideas that we had not considered. Fred Henry is a long time family company doing business in Lubbock for many years. After comparing their estimates with two others, we chose this company. Fred Henry has not always submitted the lowest bid, but their estimate has always been fair and they give allowances on materials chosen for the job. They do a great job of communicating with their customers. We always knew what time and what day they would be at our house. They kept us informed of what they were doing and of any possible problems they might encounter. Their employees are very professionally dressed and we never had a problem leaving our house and trusting them. They are very friendly and good about explaining what they were doing. They tolerated our Golden Retriever when he tried to supervise their work. As a matter of fact, when they were doing work at a house across the street, the workers came over to pet him. They always left at the end of the day leaving our house clean and their equipment put away. They are very conscientious about the work they are doing and they use subcontractors that have the same standards that they expect of their own employees. We cannot say enough positive things about this company. We were always thrilled by the finished project, but sad to see them go because they had become like family to us. We have more projects that we will use them for and I will not bother to get estimates from other companies.

Steven Henry would meet every contractor out here and made sure they understood what to do. They thought of every detail and saw it thru to the end.     Fred Henry Const built a porch cover and put a fireplace in our house. Both projects turned out beautifully. The house was always clean and whatever debris there might have been was picked up by the time we got home from work. They were always responsive to our questions during the process. Only issue we had was there might have been a little more thought put into the TV connections installed above the fireplace. It would have been nice if they had been recessed in the wall but we didn't think about that until the TV was installed above the fireplace and we have problems with plugs/cords sticking out from the wall. But we will know to ask for that if we ever have something like this done again. Overall a pleasant experience and I would definitely use them again.

They repaired walls, custom built cabinets, remodeled kitchen, new carpet, painted, and tile work.     First off, I am writing this review for my parents who are 80 plus years old. I found Fred Henry Construction through Angie's List after my parents had had two different plumbers out to find the source of a major water leak in their master bath. Neither were able to locate the leak and still charged my folks hundreds of dollars. When I called the office, my phone call was returned promptly. I explained that I was in town from Chicago for only a few days and needed help for my parents. I had Mr. Henry out within 24 hours. He was so thorough in his explanation of the problem, patient with my parents and presented a plan and an estimate very quickly. The workers arrived as promised. Each specialty area was arranged by Fred Henry Construction and even the tile and bathtub surround material samples were brought personally to the house to spare my mom having to travel to make choices. Each group of workmen arrived on time, finished the work as promised and cleaned up to my mom's satisfaction. I'm not going to lie. The work was not cheap, however, the concierge service for an elderly couple was exactly what was needed and we were willing to pay for excellent service and coordination of the project. I can't recommend them highly enough.
